Elsa H. Shum

Ricky, today your family says farewell to you. It is not a goodbye because we shall all be together again when our journey here is also over and our Father calls us home. Thank you for all the wonderful memories throughout the years...from your wedding to Lucy where you looked so handsome and she so beautiful...to the birth if Ali & Julie...to the parties at your home...the Noche Buenas at my sisters house...outings at the beach....lunch at Fernandina Beach... I will always remember your smile and your sarcastic wit. Thank you for being in our lives....until we meet again...Love Elsy

Mare

We recall one day back in 2018 when we visited Rick and Lucy's home in Miami to watch old 1980 home movies. We had so much fun and Rick was at his best interjecting funny commentary. It was a great afternoon we will never forget. We will always remember Rick. We miss you but we will meet again. Rest in Peace my friend.

A long long time ago, back in the 80's ... when Lu introduced Ricky to Viv and I, we just knew he was the one for her. He was relaxed and easy going, just "fitted right in". He quickly embraced the family Cuban culture and even learned some Spanish words to tell Maria and Lucio. Ricky, You are missed but we are grateful to have you in our lives and I know that loving memories will forever hold dear in our hearts! 💕

Rick I’ll always remember our trip to Milwaukee when you were just thrilled to have three wives for the weekend, your dance moves, our great dinner at Shuckers, your food critiques (I always felt I had to step it up a notch for you) and your incredible trivia talents. You will be sorely missed. I know that you’ll be watching over all your girls. May you rest in our Lord’s embrace.

I love Ricks sense of humor, a bit dry and straight to the point. When Lucy and Rick had a party I always remember sitting as the king of the hill at the tiki hut telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He will be dearly missed by everyone lucky enough to have known him.

Richard "Rick" T. Keclik

2022-12-06

Richard (Rick) Thomas Keclik, 64, of Fernandina Beach, FL passed away on December 6, 2022.
Rick was born January 4, 1958 as the youngest of five children to James and Margaret Keclik in Berwyn, IL. The Keclik household was full of love, fellowship, sibling mischief and great food. In the ‘80s, Rick visited one of his brothers in Miami, FL and never left. He met his wife, Lucia, and had two daughters: Alexandra and Julieanna.
Rick had a mild, kind-hearted demeanor with witty one-liners that family and friends always enjoyed and will miss. He was a classic rock trivia whiz and was the family’s go-to cook. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy and football, college and pro. Rick read the newspaper cover-to-cover and never missed a Wordle. He was always on the hunt for good food and craft beers. He took good care of his pets, but most of all, he loved spending time with family, especially his infant granddaughter. He ascended into heaven as “Free Bird” played, surrounded by family and friends. They were truly blessed to have Ricky in their lives.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fernandina Beach, FL at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
Donations can be made in his memory to the American Lung Association or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
