Richard Walter Echoff Jr., 61, known as Rick, of Yulee, FL passed away on April 23, 2023.

He was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL on June 26, 1961. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Echoff of 24 years; by his parents, Richard and Phyllis Echoff; his grandparents, Richard and Hellen Echoff and John and Ruth Carrier and by other extended family members, Mack and Jessie McKee and Ronald Larossi.

Rick graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, VA – Class of 1979. After graduation he served in the Army National Guard for four years in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagle unit. After the Army, he moved his family to Florida. While raising his boys he was a Scout Master for Troop 446 in Yulee. Rick had the love of domestic and foreign history; especially the study of wars. He also was a music lover of classic rock and had a knack for American pop culture. Rick enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a Master Craftsman, designing wood furniture.

He will be dearly missed by his four children Mandy, Blake, Kyle and Alex Echoff and his longtime partner Renee Smith, 9 grandchildren, his brother, Daniel and wife Sandra, Kevin Echoff and sister, Lisa and her husband Mark Beans. Rick also leaves behind his additional family and friends.
