Richard Ronald Roenisch, 88, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away on August 21, 2023.

Born on July 31st, 1935 in New York City to the late Richard Roenisch and Blanche Gilmore. He grew up in Jacksonville, FL. He married Julie Irene Norris in January 1956.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he is remembered by his family as loving, kind and always willing to help his family. But above all, he loved Jesus with all his heart; teaching his children the same. He was a United States Navy Veteran, member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God, and a 32nd Degree Mason of the Woodstock Park Lodge.

Richard is predeceased by his spouse, Julie Irene Roenisch and leaves behind his children: Karen (George) Stanley and Linda (Jerry) Williamson. His grandchildren: Kristina Burroughs, Jennifer Bellina, Jason Williamson, Justin Williamson and 8 Great Grand-Children.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 1st with services beginning at 3:00pm at Oxley Heard Funeral home, 1305 Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034.

He will be laid to rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
