Rob was such a dear friend to me in school. He had no idea how much he meant to me back then. He was a true friend, no matter what. I’m heartbroken to see this today. My heart goes out to his parents, son, and loved ones.

Robert Wayne Peters

Robert Wayne Peters was born on Tuesday, September 3, 1974, in Winter Park, FL, and died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, in Jacksonville, FL.

He leaves behind his son, Aaron Peters; his parents, Wayne and Shan Peters; his Nana, Mildred Peters, his grandma, Pauline Sizemore; and many other family members and friends who love and miss him.

Rob went to Idyllwilde Elementary School and Lakeview Middle School in Sanford, FL, where he excelled in his schoolwork and made lasting friends he has to this day. Rob attended ninth grade at Godby High School in Tallahassee, FL, and graduated from Valdosta High School in 1992 while living in Valdosta, GA. He began his first tech job at Valdosta State University and continued to use his tech skills in his work until his untimely death.

Rob was known for his happy smile, his kind heart, his great sense of humor, and his amazing work ethic. He was also known for his love of all things Disney – his family has many fun memories of their visits to Disney over the years.

A private family service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Springhill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the Jacksonville Men’s Center, 3333 Phillips Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32207 in memory of Robert Peters.
