Robyn Spaulding Woods

2022-05-02

Robyn Woods of Amelia Island passed away peacefully May 2, 2022. She is remembered by her family as a childhood sweetheart turned soulmate, a fiercely loyal mama bear, a best friend to her sister, and a beacon of light and laughter to all her family and friends.

Robyn enjoyed curling up with a big cup of tea (or an even bigger cup of Coca-Cola) and diving into a good mystery (even if she always knew “whodunnit” before the end). We can’t prove she was psychic, but there wasn’t a lost item she couldn’t find or a problem she couldn’t solve with a wise word or a plate of warm cookies.

She loved vacationing with family and strove to make and preserve memories every single day. Thanks to her photography skills, she caught even the most elusive family members at their most joyful, excited, and hilarious. She specialized in trying new recipes and tweaking them to perfection, with the help of her eager taste testers. Christmastime was her favorite time of year, but with a little hot glue and glitter she could make any day feel like a holiday. She was never too busy to listen to your troubles. Her arms were always open for a hug.

Most of all, she loved her family.

The family will have a celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to: Barnabas Center, Inc., 1303 Jasmine Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034
