Sometimes as I occasionally walked past Rodney's place a few times a week I would check in on his workshop progress and he would ask about how I was coming along on mine. What a fabricator he was. So much talent. Oh, what a handshake!

I’ve only known Robby for a short time, less than 10 years. He was quick with a joke and could entertain a crowd for hours. Robby loved to cook on his smokers and grills than he custom made, nothing from a store was good enough for him. He would turn cooking into a production and once everything was done, he would break out his phone and film the food and the guests and narrate while filming then post in to Facebook for all his friends to see. Anytime I came over to Robby and Lola’s and Robby had made some boiled peanuts, he always told me to make sure to grab a bag from the refrigerator before I left (they had a refrigerator in the garage). If Robby happened to be in the same store as you, you could hear him talking to someone, anyone, friend or stranger from one end of the store to the other. When they bought the new house on Blackrock, Robby loved to drive people around the property on his golf cart to show off the new property. Robby will truly be missed by all who know him. Even up to his final days, if we pulled into the driveway, he would always come over to the car and never complain about his condition. Our heart goes out to Lola and her family and all of the Waldrips.

Dearest Lola, Ever since I heard the news I’ve been suffering from a Broken Heart. Mr. Robby (I use to call him “Bubba”) was the kindest, funniest and smartest Man I have ever met … a true Southern Gentleman in all respects. “They don’t make him like him anymore!” Unfortunately, Arlene and I will not be able to attend Robby’s Service. But please accept our Deepest Condolences. And know that you and you’re Family are in our thoughts and prayers. I know God has another Angel in Heaven and Bubba is right by his side. I will never forget Robby and the lessons he taught me. Please let me know if there is anything you need – now or in the future. Love Always, Denis

My heart breaks at this news. Having recently meeting Robby and his family while walking the neighborhood, I recognized his and Lola's zest for life and the joy found in new aquaintences! His passing marks a dimming of the joys he presented to those he engaged.
