Sean was my first friend where we were employed by Shell Oil in Clifton, N.J. We remained friends since 1971, We kept in touch for many years and in January of 2023 he called to say goodbye. I truly loved this man. His favorite lunch was grilled cheese with tomato. I miss him.

I had the benefit of working for “John” Maguire in the Newark, NJ Shell Retail office in the early 70’s. After retiring myself almost 30 years later, I can attest that he was a great boss and wonderful human. I have him to thank for setting me on a wise course for my own career through his insight, sound judgement and guidance. In the immortal words of Galileo, “If I have seen further it was because I sat on the shoulder of giants.” John was just that. Mary, Sue and I are so sorry for your loss. I regret allowing time to pass without reconnecting for so many years. May God bless John and you.

I just saw Sean’s obituary on the Shell Alumni Facebook page. So sad to hear. Sean joined us on several of our golf trips and great fun to be around. My condolences to Mary and the family.

Was a neighbor and golfed with Sean many times. Always had fun golfing with Sean as I watched him stalk his next shot.
