Mrs. Sharon L. �Sherry� Carter, age 56, of Callahan, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, March 22, 2016 at the Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach.

Born in Jacksonville, she was the daughter of the late S.E. and Sandra Thornton Lowe. Sherry grew up in Dinsmore and attended Paxon Junior and Senior High Schools. She had been a lifelong resident of the Dinsmore and North Jacksonville area until moving to Callahan in 2012. Most recently she had worked as a Facilities Manager at Southeastern Metals on Eastport Road in North Jacksonville.

Her family recalls her spontaneous spirit and love of yard sales.

She leaves behind her husband of seventeen years, Ray Carter, Callahan, FL, a daughter, Jennifer Faircloth, Kingsland, GA, a son, David Faircloth, Callahan, FL, a brother, Mark Lowe, St. Mary�s, GA, two sisters, Cathy Williams and Vicky DeYoung, both of Callahan, FL, three grandchildren, Trevor Chisholm, Tatum Faircloth, Brookyln Faircloth and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Carter will be laid to rest in Dinsmore Cemetery.
