Mrs. Lovett was a beautiful soul. She was always smiling. It’s been a while since I’ve seen her, but I always loved seeing her in the parades wearing all the fancy pirate stuff. You could tell that she was happy. I remember all the times her being around back in the good old days with all of us band kids at Hilliard Middle Senior High school. She had much love in her heart for everyone. Mrs. Lovett, I’ll definitely miss seeing around town. This community will miss you for sure. Fly high friend. Until we meet again. I won’t be able to make your service, but my heart and spirit will be there. I love you!!

I'm so very sorry that I did not get to visit with Sharon before her passing. When I heard she was very ill, I prayed daily for her and God to heal her. Now she is resting in His arms, no more pain walking the streets of gold. I have very fond memories of Sharon as a fellow Nassau Educational Support Personnel Association Union member, bus driver for the Nassau County School system, and our time together in the Fernandina Pirate Club. Sharon Lovett passed away peacefully at her home in Hilliard, Florida, on September 5, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 23, 1950 but spent her childhood in Trinidad and Tobago, where her mother was from. She grew up surrounded by the warmth, culture, and traditions of Trinidad and Tobago before returning to the United States at the age of 18.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lovett; her mother, Bianca Sinciro; her aunt, Sheila Blanc; and many other beloved family members.
She leaves behind her daughters, Tiffany Kale (Joshua) and Kimberly Lovett, and her son, Robert Lovett II (Bayle). She was a proud grandmother to Brennon, Zoe, Tucker, Arionna, Mason, Cuyler, and Jett Duke.
For many years, Sharon was a dedicated employee and volunteer with the Nassau County School Board. She first became involved when her own children were in elementary school and continued volunteering long after, eventually spending time in her grandchildren’s classrooms. To the students and families who knew her, she was affectionately called Mrs. Lovett or Mama Lovett. But the names that meant the most to Sharon were simply Mom and Meme.
Anyone who knew Sharon would describe her as a true free spirit. She had a love for the beach, arts and crafts, animals, and cooking. She brought her own uniqueness and warmth into everything she did, and she had a way of making the people around her feel loved and welcomed.
Above all, Sharon cherished her family. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, and the love she gave to her children and grandchildren will remain with them always. Her memory will live on in the stories they share, the traditions she passed down, and the countless lives she touched throughout her years.
A service celebrating Sharon’s life will be held in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors located at 1305 Atlantic Ave, Fernandina Beach, Fl 32034 on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the amazing life Sharon lived. Rather than simply mourning her passing, we invite you to remember Sharon for the love, laughter, memories, and beautiful spirit she brought into the lives of so many.
