Sheila Sewell Riley

2024-04-15

Sheila Sewell Riley of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024 at The Warner Center for Care after a long illness.

Sheila was born February 15, 1946 in Atlanta Georgia to Horace and Hazel Sewell. She grew up in Dalton, Georgia and graduated from Dalton high school in 1964 and later attended LaGrange Collage.

Sheila met her husband John on a blind date in Atlanta in 1969. They married in Atlanta one year to the day of that first date. John was not going to let her get away. After two years they welcomed their daughter Heather into the world. Because of John's traveling for work and numerous moves, it was Sheila who made the friends and kept the social life going.Sheila had many interests, she was an excellent tennis player, loved bridge, Mah Jongg and even played a little golf.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years, John; her daughter, Heather Riley-Perrino (Chris) of Fernandina Beach, Fl. and many friends and loved ones.

There will be a memorial service for Sheila on Saturday April 27 at 11:00am at the Amelia Plantation Chapel where her ashes will be interned in the Columbarium in the Memorial Garden.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. If you would like to make a donation to the Chapel in Sheila's memory, please designate it for missions.
