Shiela Sheffield Fountain, 74, passed away peacefully May 9, 2016, following a prolonged illness. A lifelong resident of Fernandina Beach, Shiela graduated from Fernandina Beach High School and Stetson University. She was the loving wife of the late Robert A. (Bob) Fountain.

An avid reader and lover of books, Shiela recently served as Vice President of the Amelia Island Book Festival. Shiela loved to travel. While her travels took her all over the world, her favorite trips were to visit her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite destination was New York where she took trips with family and friends.
Shiela worked in the insurance industry for 30 + years, including her leadership role at the John T. Ferreira Insurance Agency and then on to Farm Bureau where she was recognized as one of the most knowledgeable and skilled agents in the State. During that time Shiela created a network of friends, all of whom she encouraged and supported through the years. The lives of so many were enriched by her guidance and love.

As quoted by Shiela-� I�ve had a good life. I�ve learned that family and friends are what makes us who we are. Without them we would never be complete because their love is life�s greatest blessing.�
Survivors include children: Stacey Crisp, Todd Crisp (Karen), Laura Paukner (Tim), Dewayne Crisp, JR (Jamie), Tim Crisp; grandchildren: Brandi Mooneyhan (Ryan), Erica Delk (Daniel), Jerett Alexander, Michael Peterson, Kaylee Crisp, Kenna Paukner, Whitney Davis (Andrew), Sydney Tyson (Josh),Neal Crisp, Caroline Crisp; great grandchildren: Jeffrey, Parker, Emmie, Cooper, Cauley and Fletcher; Nieces: Kelly and Toni Freeman; Nephews: Ashley and Jonathan Freeman; Great Nieces and Nephews: Harley, Jason and Jamie Kay Freeman.

To celebrate Shiela�s life, Services will be held Thursday 11AM May 12, 2016 in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home. The visitation will be from 10-11 am.
