Steven Michael Hallack
2016-03-31
Mr. Steven Michael Hallack, age 47, of Yulee passed away on Tuesday morning, March 1, 2016 at his home.
Born in College Park, MD, he is the son of Steven Lee Hallack and Evelyn Faris Hallack Williams. As an infant Michaels family moved to Jacksonville with his fathers career. He grew up in the Arlington section of Jacksonville and was a graduate of Stanton College Preparatory School, Class of 1985. After high school he began a career with Baptist Health in Jacksonville that would span the years until his passing. He had attended the Southside Campus of Florida Community College of Jacksonville. In 1988, he met Candice Rochelle Pabst whom he would marry on April 18, 1992. Michael and Candice had three children and were in the process of inviting and adopting two additional children into their hearts and family. Those that knew Michael knew of his love for his wife and children. He most enjoyed being surrounded by his family.
Michaels career with Baptist Health began in the Laboratory from where he quickly advanced through Medical Records before moving into Information Technology and Systems where he was presently filling the role as a Senior Computer Analyst. Michael invested over 25 years in his career at Baptist Health and assisted in several mergers and openings of new locations. Not to mention the hours of go-live and down times. He always kept a positive attitude in the midst of very stressful situations. His work ethic was commendable. Michael was also an avid video gamer and shared his passion for gaming with his family. He connected with many friends online that he gamed with regularly and will be missed in that community.
He and his family had attended the Journey Church near their home in Yulee for the past 8 years.
