A cousin I loved and admired. She was a true warrior that always had a smile. I have many childhood and later in life memories I will always cherish. It may appears she lost the fight but she didn't loose the war. Praying God wraps His loving arms around all who mourn this wonderful spirit & gives the beauty for ashes & joy for mourning Isaiah 61:3

Tammy Jean Carter, 75, of Fernandina Beach passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at her home.
Born in Fernandina Beach, she was a daughter of the late John and Irene Crews Carter. She attended Fernandina Beach High School.
Tammy had lived in Fernandina Beach for most of her live but did spend time in Bartow, FL, Waycross, GA and Charleston, SC. She had retired as a Route Technician for Kelley Pest Control. She enjoyed fishing and walking on the beach in her spare time.
She leaves behind her children, Kenny (Lynn) Jones of Waycross, GA, Teresa (Vance) Sellers of Myrtle Beach, SC, Oscar Johns and Tamara (Tony) Malone, both of Waycross and James (Lorie) Johns of Offerman, GA; her sisters, Mary Edith Davis of Folkston, GA, Teresa Ralston and Maxine (Ronnie) Dougherty, both of Fernandina Beach and Jackie Winn of St. Augustine as well as 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors.
Tammy will be laid to rest with her family at a later date.
