Mr. Thomas �Big Tom� Anthony Fratino age 60 of Fernandina Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 26, 2017.

Born in Euclid, OH, he was one of four children born to Tony and Dorothy Ann Tarasco Fratino. He grew up in Euclid and was a graduate of Euclid High School, Class of 1975. After high school he attended Ohio University where he graduated with his degree in Electrical Engineering. After college he began a long career as an Electrical Engineer with M.K. Ferguson in Cleveland, OH, as the Project Engineer. In 1985 he met Kathy Denise Poarch whom he would marry in 1986. The Fratinos� made their first home in Mentor where he would later accept a position with Avery Dennison as an Electrical Engineer.

In 1995, he joined Tropicana in Fort Pierce, FL, where he worked until joining Technical Associates in Albany, GA, in 2003. In 2011, he accepted an invitation to join Rock Tenn, as a Senior Electrical Engineer. During his career as an Electrical Engineer he traveled to and contributed to projects in 42 different states.

Tom was an avid sports fan. He played hockey throughout high school and college, coached his son�s hockey teams and was a voracious fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers. True to his Italian heritage; he enjoyed attending the Wickliff Italian American Club where he was a member with his family and played in the Bocci League. He enjoyed entertaining and any activity that included good food. His family recalls the enjoyment that only an Electrical Engineer would have through his synchronized holiday lighting and decoration of their homes.

Mr. Fratino leaves behind, his wife of 32 years, Kathy D. Fratino, Fernandina Beach, FL, sons, Stephen Diffenbacher (Peggi), Jupiter, FL, Thomas Fratino II, Fernandina Beach, FL, Anthony Fratino (Katie), Jacksonville, FL, a daughter, Cadence Fratino, Fernandina Beach, FL, his parents, Tony and Dorothy Fratino, Willoughby, OH, two sisters, Linda Moffa (Gerry), Winter Springs, FL, Karen Vance (Walt), Concord, OH, a brother, Joseph �Joe� Fratino (Heather), Parker, CO, and many nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends in Florida on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 2:00 � 4:00 pm at Oxley Heard.

Funeral services will be held in Mentor, Ohio in the chapel of Brunner Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 3, 2017. There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Brunner Funeral Home. Mr. Fratino will be laid to rest in the family section of Perry Cemetery.
