Condolences:

K. Thomas

I loved working with Mr. Burbanks when he came in for treatments, he always had a positive outlook on life. His Fresenius family will miss him dearly.

Margo Story

Missing you sitting on the porch at FBRC! Always kind words and a cheerful outlook. Enjoyed our conversations

Gordon Hart

Great guy and classmate. We were on the Cardinals in Senior League and Tommy was playing second base and I was playing catcher. Bill Leeper was on first and tried to steal. I made a good throw for once and Tommy applied the tag expertly and Bill was out. We were as shocked as everyone else, and celebrated when we got to the dugout. He will be missed. Always and smile and positive attitude, and Gold bless him for that.

Tommy lived his whole life in the beautiful and amazing town of Fernandina Beach. He loved surfing, hunting, fishing, animals, Florida Gators, and Jesus. Tommy was confirmed in the Episcopal church but later in life gave his life to Jesus and was baptized at First Baptist Church on

Tommy left a legacy to all his family and friends of the power of a positive attitude and the willingness to help others, especially the underdog. His last 7 years as a resident of Fernandina Beach Rehab (Quality Care) has been a testimony to that. His love for the Lord and people shined through many difficult situations. Thank you to the staff at Quality that loved and cared for him also Baptist – Nassau and Dr. Henry Rodeffer.

Tommy will be laid to rest at a graveside service in the Burbank plot at St. Peter’s Episcopal Cemetery on North 8th Street on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022 at 10:00 am, Rev. Joseph R. Woodfin, Rector. Pastors Paul Rizzi and Zach Terry officiating. All family and friends are invited.
