Timothy Shannon Hatfield
2023-12-11
Timothy Shannon Hatfield, 57, of Yulee passed away at home on Monday, December 11, 2023.
He was born in Huntington, West Virginia and was a son of Jim G. Hatfield and the late Jeannie Mitchem Hatfield. He moved to the area with his family in 1985.
He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Mr. Hatfield had the distinction of serving 9 times as Governor of the Nassau Moose Lodge. He was involved with the community by being involved with the Yulee Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with his grandson. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle whenever he could. Above all else, he loved his family and the Yulee community.
Mr. Hatfield was the kind of guy who always had a joke or a funny story. He also could recall the most minute facts and information about the most obscure things. His ability to solve nearly any math problem, in his head, was amazing.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his sister, Carrie Sluder.
He leaves behind his wife, Deana Geiger Hatfield of Yulee; his sons, Cody (Jammie) Hatfield of Yulee and Caleb (Britni) Hatfield of Fernandina Beach; his father, Jim (Tammy) Hatfield of Yulee; his sisters, Julie (Bryan) Lanham of Yulee and Summer (Mark) Pilley of Callahan; his brothers, Daniel Hatfield of Birmingham, AL and James Hatfield of Middleburg, FL; 6 grandchildren, Hunter, Gracie, Hailey, Sophia, Hannah and Wyatt as well as many extended family members and friends.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at his home Friday, December 15, 2023 at 4:30 PM.
