Todd’s absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express, but his memory will continue to live on in our hearts. I am truly grateful to have known him, and I find comfort in the knowledge that he lived a life of love and compassion. Todd Horton, 64, of Woodbine, Georgia peacefully passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at home with his caring wife, Cindy and loyal companion, Cocoa.
Todd was born on January 5, 1962, in San Pablo, CA to Howard and Mercedes Horton as their first child and only son. He grew up in Franklin, PA with his two sisters, Pamela and Paula, and attended Franklin Area High School in Franklin, PA. As a kid, he loved riding bikes around town with friends and played the piano at home for loved ones. In High School, he found a passion for skiing and joined the Franklin Area Ski Team.
A few years later, Todd married his High School Sweetheart, Cindy in Franklin, PA. The couple had two children, Chad and Shawn, and raised them in Fernandina Beach, FL. He worked hard as a Mill Worker at Coast Chips, where he gained the well-known nickname, Cutter. Todd was also a big fan of the band RUSH, and a highlight was seeing them perform live in 2015.
Beyond his work and family, he had a passion for Football and was a life-long fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He never missed a chance to show off his Terrible Towel, and shared this passion with his eldest son, Chad. Todd enjoyed getting fresh air on his patio and keeping the campfire roaring during camping trips with his family.
Todd leaves Cindy, his loving wife of 39 years, eldest son, Chad, sisters Pamela and Paula, many sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews, and parents Howard and Mercedes, alive with his memory. Todd will lie to rest next to his son, Shawn.
Todd’s family will receive friends at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors in Fernandina Beach between 1:00-3:00PM on Friday, August 7, 2026.
A graveside funeral service will immediately follow at Bosque Bello Cemetery where Todd will be laid to rest.
