Virginia Johnson, 83, of Yulee, FL passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Community Hospice Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach, FL.

She was born in Franklin, WV and spent much of her life in West Virginia and Virginia. In and around Harrisonburg. She worked at Roses’ Department Store and in a local nursing home as a dishwasher. She worked with her husband, Frank Johnson, at Johnson’s Janitorial Services in Harrisonburg.

After Frank’s passing four years ago, Virginia moved to West Palm Beach, FL to be near her son and his family. Later she relocated to Yulee with them. Virginia was a lady who took pleasure in many of the simple things in life. She enjoyed being with family, watching her favorite television shows and movies and loved animals. She was always friendly to any animal.

In addition to her husband, Frank, she was predeceased by a son, Russell Frank Johnson, Jr. and a granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Johnson in May of this year.

She leaves behind her son, Joey Johnson and his wife, Jane, of Yulee; her grandchildren, Joey Johnson, Jr., Tristan Johnson, Alyson Johnson, Raynee Johnson and a great-granddaughter, Jade Castle.

There are no immediate plans for a service.
