Walter Clark, Jr.

Walter Clark Jr, 69, gained his angel wings on Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was born in Screven, Georgia on December 3, 1951 to the late Walter Clark Sr. and Evie Jane Hathaway Clark.
Walter had worked 33 years at Terminal Paper Bag Co in Yulee, 5 years at Vanguard Plastics in Jacksonville. Walter enjoyed spending time playing softball in his younger days with all his softball buddies near & far, watching his kids & their friends play softball & baseball, riding motorcycles with family & friends, playing golf, fishing, racing go karts with his son Brian & loved having an ALL girl pit crew, enjoyed talking on his CB radio with his buddies near & far, listening to live music & dancing the night away, most of all he enjoyed spending time with family, his grands & great-grands & friends. Walter never met a stranger, always willing to help any & everyone.
Walter was predeceased by his parents above, a brother- James Robert Clark & a sister- Christine Clark.
He leaves behind the love of his life of 51 years, Shirley Clark, his daughters- Tina Mills (Eric)and Emily Clark (Scott Hagan), his son- Brian Clark (Caitlin), granddaughters- Courtney Clark, Kaitlyn Mills, Austin Clark, great-granddaughters- Jazzlyn Pettway, Alaysia Pettway, Nicole Young, great-grandsons- Bradley Pettway and Levi Young. He is also survived by his siblings- WC Clark, Hugh Clark, William Clark, Josephine Musgrove, Earnestine Stafford as well as many brothers in laws/sisters in laws, several nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews. He also leaves behind his four-legged fur babies, Zippy, Daisy & Shuggy.
Family will receive visitors for Walter during a viewing on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Oxley Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 3:00 pm with a viewing starting at 2pm at Bethlehem Cemetery on Bachlott Church Rd in Nahunta, Ga.
Pastor Ricky Knox will be officiating.
