Wilbur was such a gentle man. I have fond memories of him when I was living with Mary Jane Matthews. He and my husband Ed were able to play golf when we visited Fernandina. We have such fond memories of him.

Always enjoyed seeing Wilbur. Always a friendly smile. He cared so much for his patients. He earned his peace.

I remember Wilbur Johnson, being such a kind gentle soul. I had the privilege of working with him at Barnabas after he retired from a long time working with another medical group in Yulee. He gave so much to all who came in to his care. I’m saddened by his death, he left this earth to soon, but I know God has a place for him and he will be and peace. My prayers will be with him and his family.

For many years Wilbur gave compassionate and competent care to hundreds of Nassau County patients. The tragedy of his final illness is compounded by the noble purpose of his life. I am fortunate to have known him.
