Wiley Phillip Pitts
2020-06-09
Wiley Phillip Pitts, 44, of Jacksonville passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at UF Health, North in Jacksonville.
He was the son of the late Wiley Talmadge and Sharon Cason and was born at Ft. Stewart, GA.
Phillip worked as a mechanic in trailer repairs. When not working he loved spending time outdoors. Whether surfing, hanging out at the beach, deer hunting in Georgia or fishing he always enjoyed his time outside.
Besides outdoor sports the thing that Phillip loved most was his family. He always enjoyed family gatherings and was a faithful supporter of his daughter Autumn. He attended her softball games from her time in little league right through her high school career.
The one constant in Phillips life was his unrelenting spirit and outlook. He always found the best in things and never let anything get him down.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wifes mother, Sue Blanton and a great nephew, Ryan Davis.
He leaves behind his wife, Tammy Pitts of Jacksonville; his daughter, Autumn Pitts, also of Jacksonville; a sister, Jennifer Lovett and her husband, Matthew of Maccelnny; his step-mother, Von Pitts of Tifton, GA; his father in law, Richard Blanton of Jacksonville as well as 5 nephews, 6 nieces, 1 great niece and 5 great nephews.
Phillips family will gather Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors to remember and celebrate his life.
