Willard C. Fagler, Sr.

2026-03-27

Willard C. Fagler, Sr. will be remembered as a man whose life reflected dedication to family, strength, and care for those around him. His passing leaves a space in the hearts of family, friends, and all who knew him, yet his legacy continues through the values he lived by and the lives he touched.

He was someone who offered guidance, support, and a steady presence to those closest to him. Though his death marks the end of his earthly journey, the memories, lessons, and love he shared remain a lasting tribute to the life he lived and the impact he made on others.

Born in Harvard, Nebraska in 1933, Will played basketball for the University of Nebraska. He was ranked as one of the top 100 all-time point scorers and was inducted into the university’s Basketball Hall of Fame.

Graduating with a degree in agriculture, he enjoyed a long career in agriculture chemical and fertilizer sales taking him and his family up and down the east coast.

He met and married the love of his life Betty Clark of Augusta, GA while she refereed a women’s basketball game at the gymnasium Will managed while stationed with the Army. This past December, Will and Betty celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.

Together, Will and Betty have lived a full life and traveled the world with friends while making new friends with every trip. Many of whom, they keep in touch with.

Along with his beloved wife Betty, Will leaves behind two sons Chauncey (Rose) and Jeff (Anne-Marie), grandchildren (Lauren, Sarah/Jake Wittmann, Tyler/Jimena, and Brock) and a great granddaughter (Reese).

Forever and lovingly known as Pop by his family, he will be deeply missed.
