William Henry Weaver "Billy”, 85, of Fernandina Beach, passed away on January 2, 2026 at Lake Crossings, Kingsland, Georgia.
Born on July 13, 1940, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Marion and Myrtle Weaver, Billy spent his entire life at Fernandina Beach where he graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in 1959. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army.
After returning home, he began working for Rayonier in Fernandina Beach, where he retired.
He was a member of Blackrock Baptist Church where he and Louise spent countless hours loving the children of AWANA. He also worked in the men’s ministry helping those who needed home improvement.
Billy’s biggest gift was making people laugh. His jokes will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind Louise Weaver spouse of 51 years, Brother Ronnie (Robin) Weaver, Children, James (Lisa) Weaver, Suzanne (Tom) Keenan, Danielle (Barry) McKendree, and Robert Griffin (Falon Lambert). Grandchildren include Dean Dunman, Louis Griffin (Mary Catherine), Ashley Griffin (Taylor Conwell), Will Weaver, Kathryn Weaver and great Grandchildren Leo & Joey. He was predeceased by his father, Marion Weaver, mother, Myrtle Weaver, brothers Louis and Bobby Weaver, and sister Patricia Meek.
Funeral Services will be at Oxley Heard Chapel on Saturday, January 10, 2026
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM with services beginning at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
