William Sherman Scott Jr., 77 of Yulee, Florida passed away on February 24, 2024.

He was Born on November 3, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Sherman Scott Sr. and Janet Ricketts. He was raised in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Baltimore City College. He was a 24-year Veteran of the United States Navy. Sherman was an avid golfer in the greater Jacksonville / North Florida area. and a member of the American Legion Post #54 in Fernandina Beach, FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda Scott.

Sherman leaves behind his son Shane Scott and his daughter-in law Jennifer Scott, his grandsons Dominic Scott and Dylan Scott.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 4, 2024, from 5-7pm at Oxley Heard Funeral Home located in Fernandina Beach, FL. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Tuesday March 5th at St. Peters Episcopal Church followed by an interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
