Mr. Willie James Andrews, age 58, formerly of Fernandina Beach, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at his home in La Place, LA.

Born in Fernandina Beach, he was the son of Rose Arena Folmar and the late Willie George Andrews. Mr. Andrews grew up in Fernandina Beach and attended Southside Elementary School, Fernandina Beach Middle School and Fernandina Beach High School. He worked for a short time at the Amelia Island Plantation before marrying and moving to Beaumont, TX where he and his ex-wife owned and operated a restaurant. He later made his home in La Place, LA where he was last employed in the construction field as a safety inspector for a company providing and erecting scaffolding at construction sites.

Mr. Andrews attended the Elm Street Church of God in Fernandina Beach and was currently a member of the Lower Light Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA.

He leaves behind his mother, Rose A. Jamison, Jacksonville, FL, two brothers, Emmit Boyd and his wife Alice, Jacksonville, FL, Felix Boyd Jr. and his wife Denise, Fernandina Beach, FL, two sisters, Annette Linder, Tampa, FL, Belinda Jamison, ONeal, FL, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Elm Street Church of God with Pastor Arizona Perkins, presiding.

His family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 � 7:00 pm at Oxley Heard Funeral Home.
