Wyman Edward Hughes, 90, passed away on August 18, 2026, at UF Health St. Johns in St. Augustine, Florida.

Wyman was born on August 22, 1935, in Macclenny, Florida, to the late Glenn Carson Hughes and Thelma Inez Hughes (Tinsley).

He was raised in Fernandina Beach, Florida, where he graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in 1954. In 1958, he married the love of his life, Adria Jacqueline “Jackie” Hughes (Anderson). Together, they raised three children and shared 68 years of marriage until Jackie’s passing on April 13, 2026.
Wyman and Jackie owned and operated H & H Ice, formerly known as City Ice, in Fernandina Beach and St. Augustine for many years before retiring.

In addition to his parents and wife, Wyman was preceded in death by his sons, Edwin “Eddie” Hughes and Bryan Jason Hughes, and his grandson, Sean Michael Menninger.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Alicia (Mike) Menninger; granddaughters, Nicole Hughes and Monica (Moses) Muzquiz; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Kyla, Brooke, Aria, Jace, Jayden, and Makenna; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Eva and Gerald Key; nephew, David; nieces, Katharine, Elizabeth, and Tiffany; along with many other great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and loved ones.

Wyman is now peacefully reunited with his beloved wife, Jackie. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

At the family’s request, no services will be held at this time.
