Zachary (or 'Z' as my husband called him) was the consummate professional and true gentleman. He could extinguish any fires (emotional an otherwise) with his grace and deftness. We truly appreciate this evening's service as a way to get some bit of closure surrounding this amazing man, and the loss of a life much too soon. We will miss your smiling face Z.

You were with me when I found out I was pregnant. You sat took me to Walmart at 2am, sat with me in the silence, and then with me when I cried. You found the light & joy in all situations, and lit up every room. You were sincerely loved and will be deeply missed.

I miss you so much already. It’s weird picking up my phone to call you. I have to stop myself. Can’t wait to see you again one day you’re such an amazing person funny ,erratic and definitely an airheads at times. I’m gonna miss that so much and it’s still driving me crazy you never had a chance that day to answer me back about the text message I sent you. I could’ve never known that was gonna be the last time I got to text you. I know we were supposed to go out tomorrow night. That thing is ever going to be the same again now that you’re gone I miss you so much. Prayers for Mr. Ken and Miss Carolyn and the rest of the family

I had the privilege of working with Zack over ten years ago at a pet store. He was always full of energy, laughter, and life. Someone who could instantly lift the mood of everyone around him. We grew close during that time, and those memories have stayed with me even after I moved away and we sadly lost touch. I will always remember his spirit and kindness. My thoughts and deepest condolences are with Zack’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

From the moment I met him we were inseparable. Truly my twin flame. We shared our love for decorating, the beach, working and of course our love for laughter. I will miss the staying late and going to work early just so we could gossip/talk even with our busy schedules and of course eat some yummy food. I’m going to miss our beach walks and our pep talks so much. Sending so much love towards the family and others involved. We will miss you so much Zach❤️

Zackary "Zack" McReynolds
2025-12-26
Zackary “Zack” McReynolds, 34, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter and love.
Born on December 8, 1991, Zack was the beloved son of Anita Goulet and Derek McReynolds, and the cherished brother of Annaleese Goulet, Andrew Goulet, and Makaela Kinney. He was also the adored grandson of Carolyn and Kenneth Prescott, and the great-grandson of Anna and Albert Cain. Andrew Goulet was a devoted stepfather who played an important role in Zack’s life.
Zack’s presence could fill any room—his infectious smile and quick wit had a way of drawing people in and instantly putting them at ease. A dedicated and hardworking individual, Zack took pride in everything he did. He had a deep love for the arts, especially interior design, and found joy in reading, music and film. He also had a strong passion for fashion and cosmetology, with a natural eye for style and creativity that reflected who he was.
Living by the ocean, Zack deeply loved the beach, where he found peace, happiness and a sense of home. Zack had an incredible ability to make friends wherever he went and could make anyone laugh without trying. He was a true light in the lives of those who knew him—deeply loved, endlessly kind and unforgettable. He will be remembered by many and missed beyond words.
The family plans to hold a memorial gathering on Main Beach in Fernandina Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4th. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
